"America Rocks!"
This 5' x 7' oil painting consists of 50 different rocks all representing each state in the union. Each rock is, for the most part, the designated state rock with only a few exceptions; for instance, Hawaii's state rock is black lava, I changed that to the blue and white rock at the far right as it reminded me of flying high over the ocean and small islands. Michigan's Petoskey stone is below that.
It is the diverse composition of color, shape and size that makes the painting interesting, and in that same light, the diverse collection of color shape and size in its people, Makes America Rock!
